Inspired by 19th century folk-art carvings, Man Holding Ball and Eagle with Snake Hook are tiny functional sculptures. This suite draws upon O&G’s co-founder, Jonathan Glatt’s experience as a jeweler and O&G’s love of detail.
The Man’s outstretched arm holds a small ball that functions as a hook. The Eagle Hook features a snake clutched in the eagle’s talons- his head reeling back to face the Eagle. The Snake’s head and the Eagle’s wings become functionalhooks for coats or towels. The Man and Eagle Hooks are sculpted in wax, and then cast in bronze. Each piece is hand polished to preserve the delicate tool details of the original sculpture, making each hook a tiny work of art.
